Bakhtiar Kamal Mojumder Conferred Chancellor's Gold Medal

Bakhtiar Kamal Mojumder, a ninth-batch MBA student of the University of Scholars, has been conferred the Chancellor's Gold Medal for his outstanding academic performance.

He is currently working as Chief Operating Officer at Lalmai Group, one of the prominent business conglomerates in Bangladesh.

University of Scholars conferred the gold medal at its maiden convocation ceremony held recently at Sena Prangan in Dhaka Cantonment.

At the grand convocation, degrees were conferred to more than 2,000 graduates. In addition, a total of 35 students from 21 batches of the university were awarded Chancellor's Gold Medals in recognition of academic excellence. 

Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change; and Professor Dr Enamul Basher, Vice Chancellor of University of Scholars, handed over the awards and degrees to the graduates at the convocation ceremony. 

Azam J. Chowdhury, Chairman of East Coast Group, delivered the speech at the function as a special guest.

Other notable attendees included Professor Dr M Aminul Islam, Special Assistant to Chief Adviser for Education Ministry Affairs; Professor Dr Sami Azam of Charles Darwin University, Australia; Admiral Muhammad Farid Habib (Retd.), Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the University of Scholars; Senior Assistant Professor H M Atif Wafiq, Student Adviser of the University of Scholars.

In addition to faculty members and graduates, over a hundred distinguished personalities of the corporate world were present at the convocation event.
