The holy Shab-e-Barat, revered as the "night of fortune," will be observed across Bangladesh tonight (Tuesday night) with profound religious fervor and solemn devotion.
Millions of Muslims will spend the night in prayer, seeking the mercy and blessings of Almighty Allah for the coming year.
To mark the occasion, the Islamic Foundation has organized an extensive lineup of programs at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, including Quranic recitations, Hamd-Naat and religious sermons (waz) beginning this evening.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus issued a message greeting Muslims in Bangladesh and across the world, highlighting the spiritual significance of the night.
Across the country, mosques have prepared for a surge of devotees, with special sermons scheduled after Maghrib prayers and a grand munajat (supplication) following the Isha prayers.
Beyond formal congregation, the night is traditionally marked by a deep sense of community and charity, as people distribute food, money, and sweetmeats among the poor and destitute.
A central tradition of Shab-e-Barat remains the visitation of shrines and family graves.
Throughout the night, a vast number of devotees are expected to gather at graveyards to offer special prayers, seeking eternal peace for the departed souls of their loved ones.
This atmosphere of piety and reflection is expected to continue until dawn, as the nation unites in hope for a prosperous and blessed year ahead.
