Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today (Thursday) laid emphasis on research and crops zone mapping, saying different varieties of crops have to be cultivated on the basis of concerned area’s land fertility, water and environment to yield best outcome at lowest cost.

Agriculture Minister Dr M Abdur Razzaque today said different types of standing crops worth about Taka 1,323 crore have been affected due to the ongoing prolonged flood since June 25.
