Both daytime and nighttime temperatures are increasing across the country, with the maximum daytime temperature reaching 35°C. The heat is expected to intensify in the coming days. However, some relief is in sight for the northeastern region, as rain is likely towards the end of the week.
According to the latest weather bulletin from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, signed by meteorologist Hafizur Rahman, temperatures will continue to rise. On Sunday, March 9, daytime temperatures across the country may increase by 1 to 2°C, with a slight rise in nighttime temperatures as well.
This trend is expected to persist on Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures continuing to climb gradually.
By the end of the week or early next week, parts of the northeastern region may experience rain or thunderstorms, providing some respite from the heat.
Sunday's lowest temperature was recorded at 14.5°C in Tetulia, Panchagarh, while Dhaka saw a minimum temperature of 23°C.
