The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted widespread rain and thundershowers across the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am on Tuesday.
According to the morning bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershowers—accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning—are expected in many parts of the Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, as well as select locations in the Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions.
The Met office further warned that moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in specific areas within the Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
While daytime temperatures are expected to remain stable, nighttime temperatures may see a slight decline nationwide.
Temperature records show that the highest temperature on Monday reached 34°C in Cox's Bazar and Khepupara, while the minimum temperature this morning was recorded at 18°C in Srimangal.
