PM’s Education Trust Invites Applications for Student Medical Grants

The Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust has officially opened applications for one-time medical grants dedicated to poor and meritorious students who have been seriously injured in accidents. 

Students from Class VI through to undergraduate or equivalent levels are eligible to apply for the May-June 2026 phase starting Monday, with the application window remaining open until June 30.

According to a notice issued by the trust's stipend wing, the entire process is digital. Applicants must submit their details via the e-Medical Grant Management System at https://www.eservice.pmeat.gov.bd/medical before the deadline at 11:59 pm on June 30. 

No hard copies are required for the process.

To qualify for the assistance, students must meet specific academic and financial requirements:

Academic Standing: Applicants must have secured at least 60% marks in their previous class, or a minimum GPA of 3.50 (out of 5.00) in SSC/HSC and 3.00 (out of 4.00) at the undergraduate level.

Financial Status: The grant is open to children of government, semi-government, and autonomous institution employees in grades 13 to 20. For all other cases, the family’s annual income must be less than BDT 200,000.

Medical Proof: A certificate confirming a "serious injury" issued by a civil surgeon or a government hospital physician must be uploaded. The application must be filed within one year of the accident.

The trust confirmed that the grant money will be transferred directly to the bank account of the student or their guardian. As such, providing an active bank account and a correct mobile number is essential.

The notice further clarified that if an educational institution is missing from the online database, the head of that institution must contact the trust to ensure its inclusion. 

This financial assistance is being distributed in strict accordance with the established government guidelines for injured meritorious students.
