BNP Leader Selima Rahman Admitted to United Hospital CCU

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee Member and former minister Selima Rahman has been admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of United Hospital in the capital following a heart attack.

The news was confirmed today by BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan. According to party and family sources, the veteran politician suffered a "sudden cardiac ailment" at approximately 10 pm on last Thursday.

She was immediately rushed to United Hospital for emergency medical attention.

Following a series of medical examinations, she was placed under intensive observation in the CCU, where she is currently undergoing treatment.

Her family and senior party leadership have "sought prayers from the country's people for her speedy recovery" as she remains under the care of specialists.
