'Missing MP Anwarul Azim' Body recovered from Kolkata

Indian police recovered the body of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency Member of Parliament Anwarul Azim Anar.

His body was recovered from Sanjeeva Garden in Kolkata's Newtown area on Wednesday (May 22) morning.

Earlier, this member of parliament lost contact with his family after going to India. On Sunday (May 19). His family went to the DB office on Mintu Road in the capital and informed about the complete disconnection of the family with the MP for three days.

Personal Assistant (PS) of the Member of Parliament Abdur Rauf said that Member of Parliament Anwarul Azim went to India for treatment on May 11. But after three days passed, the family members could not contact him. He also said that the matter has been informed to the Prime Minister. Various intelligence departments of the government are monitoring the matter.

Anar, a resident of 17/3 Mandal Para Lane under Baranagar police station in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, went to the house of his long-time acquaintance Gopal Biswas. He went to that friend's house in India from Bangladesh to see a doctor. The next day, May 13, at noon, he went out to see the doctor. But even though he was supposed to return in the evening, he did not return. Later, Gopal Biswas filed a missing complaint at Baranagar police station on May 18.
