Venomous 'Yellow-bellied Sea' snake on Kuakata beach

A poisonous Yellow-bellied sea snake was found at Kuakata beach in Patuakhali.

On Thursday (June 20), Masum Billah, a member of the tour guide association of the beach, saw the snake and informed the members of the local environmentalist voluntary organization 'Animal Lovers of Patuakhali.'

KM Bachchu, member of Animal Lovers of Patuakhali, said that the rare species of poisonous snake was rescued alive after receiving information from members of the tour guide association in the afternoon. The color of the belly of the snake is yellow, the surface of the body is black. The black body has a touch of yellow, it looks strange.

He also said that the snake was rescued so that tourists do not face any danger while walking on the beach. After talking to the seniors of the forest department and organization, release or further action will be taken.

Ruman Imtiaz Tushar, president of the Tour Operators Association of Kuakata(Towak), said that this snake lives in the sea. It has been seen on the beach for the past two years. If you see this snake somewhere on the beach, please do not approach to touch it or take pictures and inform the forest department immediately.
