Air Commodore Sadikur Rahman Chowdhury has been appointed as the new Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).

A notification in this regard has been issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday (June 27).
Sadikur Rahman will replace the current chairman Air Vice Marshal Mohammad Mafidur Rahman.

Earlier, Mafidur Rahman's retirement notification was issued. He has been assigned to the Ministry of Private Aviation and Tourism.
On June 18, 2019, Mafidur Rahman was appointed as the chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB). His tenure was extended twice in his career.
