ACC gives ex-IGP Benazir, wife, daughter 21 days
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has given former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed 21 days more time to submit wealth statement as the ACC body has sought information about the assets of Benazir's wife and children.
ACC secretary, Khorsheda Yasmin confirmed that a notice has issued regarding the matter on Tuesday (July 2).
The (ACC) has issued a notice to Benazir Ahmed, his wife Zeeshan Mirza and two daughters Farhin Rishta Binte Benazir and Tahsin Raisa Binte Benazir to submit their wealth statements. The ACC has given 21 working days to submit the wealth statement.
The notice said, 'After a complemte investigation on the basis of received information , the ACC has a firm belief that you have become the owner of a huge amount of assets in your own name and anonymously. Submit to the commission the details of all movable and immovable assets, liabilities, sources of income and achievements acquired in the name and anonymous of yourself and your dependents.'
'Action will be taken according to Anti-Corruption Commission Act section 5 (2), 2004. if they fail to submit their wealth statement in the prescribed form within 21 working days of receiving the order,' the notice added.
