Death toll rises to 67 in recent floods

67 people, including 18 children, have died in the country's ongoing floods so far. More than 51 lakh people have been affected.

The Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief announced this information in a circular on Monday (September 2) afternoon.

42 men, 7 women and 18 children were killed. District-wise deaths were 17 in Cumilla, 26 in Feni, 6 in Chattogram, 11 in Noakhali, 1 in Brahmanbaria, 1 in Lakshmipur, three in Cox's Bazar, one in Moulvibazar and one in Khagrachari.

The notification also said that the situation is completely normal in Chattogram, Khagrachari, Habiganj, Sylhet, Brahmanbaria, and Cox's Bazar districts among the flood-affected districts. The flood situation in Moulvibazar has improved and the flood situation in Feni, Cumilla, Noakhali, and Lakshmipur districts is improving.
