The police have decided to take strict actions against anyone who will resort to mob justice and take the law into their own hands.

The police issued such a warning after taking the recent incidents of mob violence into cognizance. They issued the warning in a press release on Friday (September 20) in the wake of two deaths in organized beatings at Dhaka University and Jahangirnagar University.

According to the police headquarters, if someone commits a wrongdoing or a crime, there is a provision for the trial of that person according to the prevailing laws of the country. No one has the right to take the law into their own hands. If anyone commits any offense, he has to be handed over to the law enforcers.

Through the release, police urged the countrymen to call '999' or contact the nearby police station if anyone commits any crime.

The Police Headquarters strongly requests everyone not to take the law into their own hands. The police headquarters seeks the cooperation of all conscious citizens of the country to prevent the recurrence of incidents like mob justice or mob lynching.

Bangladesh Police is committed to maintaining law and order in the country and providing security to the lives and property of the people.
