Bangladesh Police to Get New Uniform and Logo
In light of the evolving situation following the student-people movement, Bangladesh Police is set to introduce a new uniform and logo soon.
Police spokesperson Enamul Haque Sagor, AIG of Media and Public Relations, told BSS today that a committee tasked with selecting the new uniform and designing the logo has nearly completed its work.
“The committee has reviewed several samples and is working to finalize a suitable uniform and logo for all police units,” he said.
The 10-member committee was formed by Police Headquarters on August 12, with Deputy Inspector General (DIG-Logistics) Mohammad Ataul Kibria as its head.

Additional DIG (Development Revenue): Dr. Shoyeb Riaz Alam
Additional DIG (APBn Headquarters): Mohammad Shihab Kaiser Khan
Deputy Commissioner (DMP): Faruk Ahmed
Airport APBn Police Superintendent: Abdullah Al Mamun
Additional Police Superintendent (Logistics): Md Nuruzzaman
Additional Police Superintendent (Naval Police): Jewel Rana
CID Inspector: Md Zahidul Islam
Sub-Inspector (Police Headquarters): Md Santur Rahman
Police Constable (DMP): Md Barkat Ullah
Initially, the committee was given seven working days to complete the task, but the deadline has been extended, according to the spokesperson.
The committee was established following a consultation meeting on August 11 between former Home Adviser Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. M Sakhawat Hussain and senior officials from the police and the home ministry.
