More than 500 students entered the Bangladesh Secretariat, bypassing police resistance, to demand the re-evaluation and correction of errors in the recently published HSC and equivalent exam results.
The protestors gathered in front of the Ministry of Education, raising various slogans. They entered the Secretariat around 2:50 PM, despite efforts from law enforcement to block them.
Security personnel, including members of the Bangladesh Army and law enforcement, urged the students to stop chanting and engage in peaceful discussions.
This is not the first time students protested over HSC results. On August 20, hundreds stormed the Secretariat, demanding result publication through subject mapping instead of additional exams.
