Senior joint secretary general of BNP Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, the Awami League government at any way cannot accept the existence of opposition parties. They have reached at the top rank of fascism.
He said these at a press conference at Nayapaltan in the capital on Tuesday.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, the every day’s speech, dialogue and response of the Awami League leaders including the head of government are nothing but bragging of cruelty and terrorism. Those whose policy of running state is dependent on repression and bloodshed are not afraid of public opinion, accountability is far behind. For this type of policy the government has turned more frantic and revengeful after BNP’s mammoth rally held on Sunday.
He said, the government is not satisfied after arresting BNP leaders and activists at a large scale. Aftermath funny false case was filed against the BNP senior leaders maintaining the list. They were associated with the false case of sabotage and creating obstacle to police duties with Hatirjheel police station.
He said, 55 persons were accused in the case including BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, national standing committee members Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Mirza Abbas, Babu Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Chairperson’s adviser Aman Ullah Aman, senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and organizing secretary Advocate Ruhul Kuddus Talukder Dulu.
Rizvi said, a format always remains ready for police to arrest BNP leaders and activists. Those are used timely to arrest the BNP leaders and activists. This time police have done it. The government is stepping forward according to its scheme before the national election. The case against the senior BNP leaders is part of this to make the whole country deserted.
He said, pictorial views of the Sunday’s arrest of BNP leaders and activists after the rally were published in the media. How they were picked up by force to police van- but later it was said that the BNP leaders and activists created obstacle to police while performing their duties. Even it was also said that the senior BNP leaders instigated the activities.
