Govt Ensures Comfortable Eid Journey: Home Advisor

Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Advisor to the Interim Government on Home Affairs, has stated that the government's proactive measures have ensured a hassle-free Eid journey. "We are making every effort to facilitate safe travel for people and ensure their smooth return," he said.

He made these remarks on Saturday (March 29) while visiting the Gabtoli Bus Terminal in Dhaka.

Jahangir Alam also assured that there is no threat of sabotage in the relatively empty capital ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. "If any threats arise, they will be tackled collectively," he emphasized.

He further stated that as long as the public remains vigilant against conspiracies, no acts of sabotage can take place.

Highlighting security arrangements, he mentioned that while most people are on holiday during Eid, personnel from the armed forces, police, Ansar, and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will remain on duty to maintain law and order.

He reassured that comprehensive security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of both those traveling out of Dhaka and those staying in the city.
