Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said, Jatiya Oikya Front has committed mistake at the very beginning. They have complained to the foreigners by not reaching out people.
He said these to the newsmen in response to their questions after visiting the Dhaka-Tangail highway at Chandra in Gazipur on Friday.
The Bridges Minister said, environment for election is prevailing in the country. People want to cast their votes in a festive atmosphere. Those who will try to take the election-bound people into the path of movement are living in fool’s paradise.
About postponing Oikya Front’s gathering in Sylhet Obaidul Quader said, Suhrawardy Udyan is made open for them. We have to see the matter of security for these heavy weight leaders, the national leaders who would go to Sylhet. The gathering in Sylhet was not postponed, it is halted for interim period. It has been halted due to security reasons.
While delivering comment over speech of BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed he said, Moudud Ahmed has nothing but power of voice. Let him allow people to call on road and see whether they make any response. Will he do movement without people?
He also said at that moment, 90 percent work of Chandra flyover is completed and will be inaugurated within two months.
