2 Bangladeshis Killed, 7 Injured as Middle East Conflict Spreads to Gulf States

Two Bangladeshi nationals have been killed and seven others injured as missile and drone strikes continue to devastate civilian areas across the Middle East.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) confirmed the casualties on Monday, expressing the government’s "deep sadness" over the escalating regional violence.

In the United Arab Emirates, Saleh Ahmed, a resident of Baralekha, Sylhet, was killed in Ajman after being struck by debris from an aerial attack on a civilian installation.

The Bangladesh Embassy in the UAE is coordinating with local authorities to repatriate his remains as soon as commercial flights resume. Meanwhile, in Bahrain, another Bangladeshi national was reported killed and three others injured in a separate incident.

The Ministry also reported that four Bangladeshis—identified as Aminul Islam (Brahmanbaria), Rabiul Islam (Pabna), Masudur Rahman (Noakhali), and Dulal Miah (Cumilla)—sustained injuries during a drone strike near a civilian airport in Kuwait.

The Bangladesh Ambassador to Kuwait has personally visited the victims in the hospital, where they are currently reported to be in stable condition.

Amid the chaos, the Bangladesh Shipping Corporation vessel Banglar Joyjatra remains stranded at Jebel Ali Port in the UAE. 
The embassy confirmed that the captain and all crew members are safe and under constant monitoring. 

As the conflict intensifies following the recent strikes in Iran and Lebanon, the Bangladesh government reiterated its profound concern for the millions of expatriates in the region and continues to track developments closely.
