Rohingyas have to be repatriated: Angelina Jolie

Special envoy of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and famous actress of Hollywood Angelina Jolie has made a comment that Rohingyas also have the rights to live as Myanmar nationals.

She said this at a press briefing at Kutupalong camp-5 after visiting different Rohingya camps at Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday.

Angelina Jolie said, after coming to Bangladesh Rohingyas have got the chance to be registered which they could not avail in their own country.

She urged the international community to extend their cooperation for education of the Rohingya refugee children.

Praising Bangladesh she said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given sense of great generosity by providing shelter to a huge number of people.

On Monday morning Angelina Jolie arrived in Cox’s Bazar on a private airline from Dhaka. From there she then went to visit Chakmarkul refugee camps in Teknaf.

As a special envoy of UNHCR, Angelina Jolie is in four days visit to Bangladesh.
