The fatalities occurred on Wednesday (July 16) during clashes in the district town between police, army personnel, and local Awami League activists.
Details of the Clashes
Earlier, as NCP leaders were leaving their rally, activists from the banned Awami League and Chhatra League blocked the road and attacked the central leaders' vehicle convoy.
When police intervened, clashes erupted between the two sides. Police and army personnel were observed firing rubber bullets and tear gas to control the situation.
Awami League and Chhatra League activists pelted the leaders' convoy with bricks and stones, vandalizing several vehicles. Police and army personnel were seen retreating with NCP leaders.
