Metro rail services in Dhaka were temporarily suspended due to a technical fault which disrupted the Uttara to Motijheel route, causing inconvenience to numerous commuters.
Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Director at Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) confirmed this information.
Earlier, Obaidul Quader, Road Transport and Bridges Minister, announced the decision to reporters that the government is making arrangements to cut the interval between arrivals of Dhaka Metro Rail trains at every station by 2 minutes to 8 minutes.
