Feni Police Super SM Jahangir Alam Sarkar has been closed and attached to police headquarters over the incident of negligence in duty in connection with madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi murder case.
AIG (media) of police headquarters Sohel Rana confirmed the matter on Sunday and said, order to close Police Super Jahangir Alam was given on Sunday. He has been attached to police head quarters.
According to police headquarters source, the committee which was formed to investigate the Nusrat murder case, has found proof of negligence by the Police Super. Later recommendation was made to attach him to the police headquarters.
In the recommendation it was said, no satisfactory answer was got from the Police Super against the sought explanation regarding negligence of duty. So divisional action was taken against him.
Earlier police headquarters investigation team recommended for disciplinary actions against Feni Police Super and other four police officials including Sonagazi police station Officer in Charge for their role in connection with Nusrat murder case.
According to the recommendations, police headquarters suspended Sonagazi police station Officer in Charge Moazzem Hossain on May 10. He was attached to Rangpur range DIG office.
Mentionable, on April 6 some miscreants set afire Sonagazi madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi. On April 10 she succumbed to her injuries at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Later the police headquarters formed a high level committee to investigate the incident.
