The court has granted 28-day remand, seven days each in four fraudulence cases filed against Regent hospital chairman Md. Shahed alias Shahed Karim. In addition the court granted 21-day remand for managing director of the organization Masud Parvez. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate granted the remand on Sunday.
Earlier, the court put Shahed on 10-day remand on July 16 over the case filed against him in connection with corona sample test fraudulence. After completion of 10-day remand Shahed was produced before the court seeking total 40-day remand in four fraudulence cases filed with Uttara Paschim and Uttara Purba police station. After the hearing the court granted 28-day remand for Shahed in four cases and 21-day remand for Masud Parvez in three cases.
Earlier, Shahed was arrested from Debhata border area in Satkhira along with an illegal firearm on July 15. In this connection a case was filed with Debhata police station. He was brought back to Dhaka boarded on a helicopter. The number two accused Masud Parvez was arrested by RAB from Gazipur on July 14.
