Bangladesh Film Censor Board (BFCB) has been reformed for the next one year. Dilara Hanif Purnima, one of the most popular actresses of D Dhallywood, has become a member of BFCB for the first time.
The board was formed on Sunday (May 12).
According to the censor board sources, the information secretary has been elected chairman of the new board. He will serve as the chairman of the censor board for the next one year. Besides, six members of different ministries, including the Ministry of Information, will perform duties.
Apart from Purnima, Bangladesh Film Directors' Association president Kazi Hayat, actress Sujata Azim, film producer Khorshed Alam Khasru, film director Jahangir Alam, actress Aruna Biswas, actor Azizul Hakim, actress Rokeya Prachi and vice-chairman of the censor board Khaleda Begum are also members of the committee.
