Young television actor Shahbaz Sunny has passed away. He breathed his last at a hospital in the capital at 3:30 am on Sunday night (February 17).
According to reports, Sunny suffered a fatal heart attack. His sudden demise has left the entertainment industry in shock and mourning.
Sharing the news, actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba wrote on Facebook, "Shahbaz Sunny is no longer with us. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un. Please keep him in your prayers."
Actress Monira Akter Mitu expressed her grief, saying, "Life is so fragile. How will Sunny's parents bear the pain of losing their child?"
Director Rafat Mozumder Rinku also paid tribute, writing, "My brother, actor Shahbaz Sunny is no longer with us. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un."
Filmmaker Hasib Hossain Rakhi confirmed the cause of death, stating, "Oh, life! Sunny passed away from a heart attack at 3:30 am."
Sunny began his acting career with the drama Kache Ashar Pore, directed by Imraul Rafat, and soon became a familiar face on television. He transitioned from supporting roles to leading characters.
In 2018, he starred in his first central role in Abdullah, directed by Golam Kibria Farooki.
Some of his notable works include Match Maker, Ahare Mon, Tumi Acho Hridoye, Anarkoli, Chorer Master, Bifole Mullo Ferot, Travel Show, and Mohabbat.
