3 institutions, 3 persons receive Rtv SMC Monimix Inspiration Medal- 2021

Rtv has awarded ‘Rtv SMC Monimix Inspiration Medal-2021’ for the fourth consecutive time. On this occasion a colorful program was organized at the Ball Room of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital. In the occasion three persons and three institutions have been awarded the medals among the institutions and persons who contributed themselves for the development of children-teenagers, people with special needs and underprivileged children and teenagers in the field of education, culture, sports and practice of science.

The Rtv SMC Monimix Inspiration Medal- 2021 winners are: 1. Sorer Haat Kalyani Shishu Sadan (Social service), visually impaired Shahin Alam (Indomitable merit), 3. Bangladesh Science Society (Practice of science), 4. Priyanka Bhadra (Indomitable courageous young woman), 5. Teenaged chess player Tahsin Azwar Zia (Sports), 6. Monthly magazine ‘Toitombur’ for children and teenagers (Publication).

While delivering speech as the chief guest Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury,MP said, children and teenagers are the guide of future Bangladesh. Bangladesh government has set an example before the world for ensuring vaccination for children and reducing child and maternal death. I encourage the organizations working in this field including Rtv and SMC as well as the government. Those who have received the Rtv Monimix Inspiration Medals 2021 will remain as inspiration for the others.

Rtv Chairman Alhaj Morshed Alam , MP said, Rtv Monimix Inspiration Medal has been introduced to bring the people in the limelight who are working to protect children and teenagers and for developing their quality of living standard for building Sonar Bangla dreamt by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. I believe, with the medals they will be inspired and following their footsteps others will be inspired.

Rtv’s Chief Executive Officer Syed Ashik Rahman said, the country has been facing natural calamities like floods, draughts and tidal surges each year due to the climate change effects. Each year huge number of people are losing their living places due to river erosion, salinity and waterlogging. As a result physical and mental growth of a number of young people has been hampered. But some people and organizations in the society silently are working for the betterment of youths. With help of these dedicated persons and institutions the young people lagging behind can break the cycle of poverty and discrimination. This type of examples makes us optimistic. Each year we are handing over this prestigious ‘Rtv SMC Monimix Inspiration Medals’ to three institutions and three personalities to encourage these persons and institutions for their role of social change.

SMC Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ali Reza Khan said, SMC is a non-profit organization. It has been working in the field of protecting child and mother health and for the development of their living standard. We are proud to hand over the inspiration award along with Rtv for the people and institutions who are performing development activities in different fields.

Deputy Managing Director of SMC Taslim Uddin Khan said, SMC has been working for the development of children and pregnant mothers. SMC Orsaline has attained huge success to decrease child death caused by diarrhea. SMC has remained vigil for the initiatives aimed to peoples’ welfare.

Agriculture Minister Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque MP, Planning Minister M A Mannan MP, State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid MP, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Prof. Dr. Shibli Rubaiyat-ul-Islam, German Ambassador to Bangladesh Achim Troster, Rtv Director Begum Bilkis Nahar, Acting OPHNE Director of USAID Marvin Crespine Gomez, Professor of department of English of BRAC University Shenin Rubaiyat, Dhaka WASA Managing Director Taksim A Khan, NRBC Bank Chairman Parvez Tomal, artist Al Mamun, Public University Teachers Federation Secretary General Professor D. Md. Nizamul Haque Bhuiyan and other cultural personalities delivered speeches and handed over medals to the award winners.

Neel Hurer Jahan anchored the program produced by Shibly Zia. Two dance shows choreographed by Kabirul Islam Ratan and another dance show presented by Hridy Sheikh and Eagle Dance Company were performed in the program. Songs were performed by Family and Asses. Magic show was presented by Anik and Trisha.

The entire program was telecasted on the screen of Rtv and Rtv YouTube channel at 5:30 pm on Friday (Dec 24).
