President Donald Trump has launched a blistering critique of the US Supreme Court, accusing the judicial body of having "unnecessarily ransacked" the nation.
The President’s remarks, posted late Sunday on his Truth Social platform, follow the Court's recent decision to strike down his administration's global tariff policy in a 6-3 ruling last month.
While the President acknowledged the three conservative justices who dissented in the tariff case, he expressed deep frustration with the remaining members of the bench.
In his post, President Trump claimed that some justices "openly disrespect the Presidents who nominate them" to the highest court in the land.
He further characterized the current Court as "completely inept and embarrassing," arguing that its recent actions diverge from the vision established by the nation's Founders.
The President warned that the Court’s current trajectory is actively "hurting our Country" and indicated he believes this trend will persist if left unchecked.
The criticism highlights a growing tension between the White House and the judiciary, particularly regarding the President’s executive authority over economic and trade policy.
