France has officially confirmed that it is not supplying offensive weapons to Israel, particularly in light of the escalating tensions involving Iran. The report was highlighted by Press TV on Sunday.
French Defense Minister Catherine Vautrin addressed the matter directly in a social media post, stating, "No, France is not supplying weapons to Israel."
However, she clarified that France has authorized the sale of specific components used exclusively for air defense systems.
These include projectiles for the Iron Dome, as well as certain equipment partially utilized by the French Armed Forces for their own operational needs.
This statement follows recent remarks by President Emmanuel Macron, who declared that France would not participate in any aggression against Iran alongside the United States and Israel.
The shift in stance has drawn a sharp response from Tel Aviv. Israel’s Ambassador to Paris, Joshua Zarka, expressed outrage over Macron’s comments, stating that France can no longer be considered a "friendly country."
