US Navy Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Arabian Sea

A US Navy MH-60S Seahawk helicopter made an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea on Wednesday. While three out of the four crew members on board were rescued alive, one remains missing.

According to the US Navy, there is currently no indication that the incident was caused by hostile fire, Anadolu Agency reports.

In a statement released on Wednesday (July 1), the US Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) announced that the crew of an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77), made an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea on Wednesday.

NAVCENT stated that there were no signs of enemy activity or hostile fire related to the emergency landing.

The statement further added that three of the four crew members were successfully rescued and are currently in stable condition aboard the USS George H.W. Bush.

Various US Navy units are actively conducting a search and rescue operation in the region to locate the missing crew member. NAVCENT also noted that an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the incident.
