From March to May is meant to be the months of nor’wester. It blew over Dhaka and several districts during the end of last month. Gusty wind and hailstorm also occurred in some places. The meteorologists have said that there is possibility of more rain in this month than the previous year. There will be severe hot spell and nor’wester and hailstorm could also be occurred.
Meteorologist Hafizur Rahman talked to the Rtv online and said, in the month of April two to three moderate to severe nor’westers may occur in the northern and central region of the country. Besides, there is possibility of occurring four to five light to moderate nor’westers in this period. Along with indiscriminant hailstorms may occur in different part of the country.
According to the met-office forecast for the month of April, analyzing the last 30 years’ rainfall it was seen that in the month of April rainfall occurs 130.2 millimeters usually. But there is possibility of a little more rainfall in this April. Nor’wester may also occur along with this. In the northern and central region of the country nor’wester could be seen for eight days. Hailstorm also may occur along with this.
According to the met office weather forecast for the next 24 hours, rain with gusty wind or thunder shower and hailstorm could occur in different parts of Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions. Temperature may fall down 1 to 3 degree Celsius. The humidity was 87 percent at 6 am on Friday.
