The Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party has announced an emergency press conference this afternoon at its central office in Bijoynagar, Dhaka.
The information was shared in a statement by AB Party's Central Committee Joint General Secretary (Publicity), Anwar Sadat Tutul, on Monday (March 24).
According to the statement, widespread rumours circulated on social media overnight regarding the alleged arrest of AB Party's General Secretary, Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad, leading to heightened tensions.
To address the situation, AB Party Chairman Mojibur Rahman Manju has scheduled a press conference today at 2 pm at the party's central office (Level 4, Saiham Skyview Tower, 45 Bijoynagar).
Earlier on Sunday (March 23) at midnight, reports of Barrister Fuad's arrest surfaced. However, Chairman Mojibur Rahman Manju later confirmed that the news was false.
