Mohammad Shahabuddin, retired district and sessions judge and former Commissioner of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), elected as the 22nd President of Bangladesh.
On Monday, February 13, Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal declared the nomination of Mohammad Shahabuddin as valid.
Mohammad Sahabuddin was born in Pabna district in 1949. During his student life, Mr. Sahabuddin served as an active member and president of Pabna District Chhatra League. He actively participated in the Great Liberation War of 1971 and then joined the BCS (Judicial) cadre in 1982.
After 25 years of service as a Judge, he retired as a District and Sessions Judge in 2006. From 2011-2016, Sahabuddin served as Commissioner of Anti-Corruption Commission.
