Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "Bangladesh is a responsible and reliable name in world peace and security. We will give a safe and peaceful world to future generations."
Prime Minister also mentioned that ensuring peace in the world is more difficult now than in the past.
On Monday, May 29, she said this at a function organized on the occasion of International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC).
On this occasion, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina honored the families of 5 martyred peacekeepers and 5 injured peacekeepers.
PM Hasina said, "Bangladesh is still following the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's foreign policy: 'Friendship towards all, malice towards none.'
In addition to establishing stability, Bangladeshi peacekeepers show their social responsibilities too in country they work with.
We believe in peace, not conflict. Bangladesh will do whatever it needs to sustain the peaceful environment."
