Signal 3 for all Maritime ports

Bangladesh Meteorological Department said, the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number 3 as the cyclonic storm ‘Hamoon’ weakened into a deep depression.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) Chairman Commodore Arif Ahmed Mostafa confirmed the information.

However, the cyclonic storm ‘Hamoon’ over northeast Bay and adjoining area moved northwestward and crossed the coast at 1 am today, weakening into a land deep depression near Satkania in Chattogram, said a latest bulletin of the Met office.
