Mild heatwave has started again in seven districts of the country due to less rain. Meteorologists said that the extent of the heatwave may increase in the coming days.
According to meteorologists, a mild heatwave is sweeping over different parts of the seven districts of the country. The districts are, Rajshahi, Pabna, Tangail, Jessore, Nilphamari, Feni and Rangamati districts. Which will continue for a few more days.
The Meteorological Department has revealed this information in the weather forecast for the next 72 hours from Monday (May 13) evening.
In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of temporary gusty winds, rain or thundershowers at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mainly dry with partly cloudy skies.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country during this period.
In the forecast, there is a possibility of rain with gusty winds at two places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions in the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Tuesday (May 14).
At the same time, it has been reported that the ongoing heatwave situation may continue and it may spread in some places.
Along with this, day temperature may increase by 1-2 degree Celsius and night temperature may increase slightly across the country.
The highest temperature of the country was recorded at Ishwardi of Rajshahi division till 6 pm on Monday at 37.0 degree Celsius. And the lowest temperature was recorded at 21.2 degree Celsius in Tetulia of Rangpur division. Patuakhali has received the highest rainfall during this period. The amount of which is 20 millimeters.
