President Md. Sahabuddin congratulated the Bangladesh cricket team for defeating Nepal and taking place in the Super Eight of the T20 World Cup.

In a message on Monday (June 17), the President congratulated the national team players, coaches and all concerned and expressed hope that this winning streak will continue in the Super Eight and will take Bangladesh cricket to new heights.

Incidentally, the Tigers defeated Nepal by 21 runs in the last match of the group stage. After losing the toss and batting first, Bangladesh were bowled out for 106 runs in 19 overs in 3 balls. Shakib Al Hasan scored maximum 17 runs for the team. In response, Nepal was bowled out for 85 runs in 19 overs. As a result, Bangladesh won by 21 runs. The Tigers won 3 matches in one event for the first time in T20 World Cup.
