India is a very important neighbour and trusted friend of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina said Dhaka and New Delhi have agreed on a shared vision for digital and green partnership to ensure a sustainable future for both countries.

We have agreed on a joint vision for 'Digital Partnership' and green partnership for a sustainable future. Both countries have ratified 'Vision Statements' on the journey to a peaceful and prosperous future, PM said.

Sheikh Hasina made the remarks in a joint statement to the media after her bilateral talks with her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Saturday afternoon ( June 22).

She said the issues of water sharing, security and trade of common rivers came up in the bilateral talks between the two neighbours.

Sheikh Hasina said Bangladesh greatly values its relations with India, which began during the 1971 Liberation War. This relationship continues to grow.
