11,640 pilgrims returned to country, 44 deaths

So far 11,640 pilgrims returned home after performing the holy Hajj.

This information was reported in the last bulletin of Hajj portal on Sunday (May 23) night.

These Hajis came to Bangladesh in 30 flights from Saudi. Out of this, Biman Bangladesh Airlines operates 8 flights, 10 flights of Saudi Airlines and 12 flights of Flynas Airlines.

After the end of Hajj, the return flight started from June 20. On that day, 417 Haji landed at Shahjalal International Airport by Bangladesh Biman's first return flight. Haji's return flight will continue till July 22.

A total of 85,225 pilgrims (including management members) went to Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh. 44 Bangladeshis have died on Hajj so far. Among them 35 men and 9 women.

Meanwhile, next year (2025) Saudi Arabia has given a quota of 1,27,198 people for Bangladesh.

Confirming the matter, Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) President Mr. M. Shahadat Hossain (Taslim) said that Bangladesh government will decide later how many people will go for Hajj under government management and how many people will go under private management.
