No shortage of antivenom for Russell's Viper: Health Minister

Recently, poisonous Russell's Viper snakes spread across the country. As a result, there is fear among the public about this snake. However, amid of panicking, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has advised to be careful. He also said that if anyone bitten by any snake, you are requested to come to the nearest government hospital without delay.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare organized a meeting on the online platform Zoom with the health department and health officials to discuss various topics regarding Russell's viper snake.

The Health Minister Dr. Samanta Lal Sen said, 'The antivenom of Russell's viper is in sufficient stock in our hospitals. There is no shortage of antivenom for Russell's Viper. I have given clear instructions that there should not be a shortage of antivenom under any circumstances . Civil surgeons, family planning officers, departmental directors and medical college hospital directors along with health department officials from all over the country were present in that meeting.

The health minister also said, 'The most important thing in the case of snake bite is to take the patient to the hospital quickly. If taken to the doctor immediately, it is possible to cure the patient completely with proper treatment.

Dr. Samanta Lal Sen said, 'It is very important to make people aware of snake bites. Everyone should be aware and motivated so that there is no delay in bringing the patient to the hospital.
