What's the problem if India gets transit access?: PM
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that there are various reactions for giving transit to India, what is the harm in granting transit access to India? Transit is already provided. The bus from Tripura is going to Kolkata via Dhaka. We are getting road fare.
She said this in the closing speech of the budget session of 12th National Parliament on Wednesday (July 3).
The prime minister also said that oil is coming to the depot at Parbatipur through the pipeline through Numaligarh in Assam. I will bring it to Natore. What's the problem? Rather, we can buy oil cheaply.
She said, the whole world is a global village. Everyone dependent on each other. Trade, communication cannot be kept closed. In the era of globalization, we cannot keep our doors closed.
Earlier, in the question and answer session of the National Parliament, Sheikh Hasina said that it will be possible to use hydrogen fuel experimentally in the country by 2035.
She said that plans have been taken to produce electricity from hydrogen and ammonia. A cell has already been formed for the purpose of data collection. The cell will prepare a project proposal after receiving acceptable information. Transformed Gas Company Limited (RPGCL) under Petrobangla is taking sustainable and reliable methods to produce hydrogen as fuel.
In response to another question, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the present government is working relentlessly to establish the rule of law in the country by guaranteeing proper justice to reduce the suffering of the people.
Claiming that 1,429 judges have been appointed in the subordinate courts since 2009, the Prime Minister said that the government is determined to ensure justice on the basis of equality for all, and to establish justice in the society by making visible improvements in the judicial system.
Regarding landless and homeless families, the Prime Minister said in Parliament that Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Khulna and Rajshahi divisions people now completely landless and homeless free. So far 58 districts and 464 upazilas have been completely landless and homeless free.
