Order to croc property of ADC Kamrul and his wife
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-Crime) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) accused in the ACC case for acquiring wealth beyond the known income. The court ordered the confiscation of all movable and immovable properties of Kamrul Hasan and his wife Saima Begum.
On Monday (July 8), Chattogram Metropolitan Sessions Judge Dr. Zebunnesa Begum gave this order.
In view of Imran Hossain's application, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Assistant Director of Chattogram gave this order, ACC lawyer Mahmudul Haque said to the media.
ACC PP Kazi Chanwar Ahmed Lovelu said that if the assets in the name of police officer Mohammad Kamrul Hasan and his wife Saima Begum are not seized, they may be handed over. Later confiscation in favor of the State will not be possible.
According to ACC sources, Kamrul Hasan is currently working as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Crime) of CMP after being appointed as Deputy Inspector of Police in 1989. During the investigation of various complaints against him, the information of acquisition of total wealth of Tk 13 crore 96 lakh 31 thousand 911 including immovable property of Tk 12 crore 72 lakh 92 thousand 216 and immovable property of Tk 1 crore 23 lakh 39 thousand 216 was found in his name.
Against that asset, his acceptable source of income is 4 crore 80 lakh 32 thousand 87 taka. The amount of assets outside his known income is 9 crore 73 lakh 22 thousand 44 taka.
