Law Minister Anisul Huq said we are in principle in favor of quota reform. We are willing to discuss this with students at any time.
He said this to reporters at an emergency press briefing at the National Parliament tunnel on Thursday (July 18).
The Law Minister said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina told me that measures should be taken to bring forward the hearing of the case which was supposed to be held on August 7. I have directed the Attorney General to bring forward the hearing of the case next Sunday (July 21).
Anisul Huq also said that Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury and I have been responsible for discussing this with the agitators. We will sit with them. Whenever they want to sit for talks, if it is today, we are ready to sit today.
