Expose culprits to justice those involved in destructive activities: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today (July 26) said the BNP-Jamaat carried out the nationwide arson attacks to undermine the country's development,They are trying to tarnish the country's image abroad, calling upon the countrymen to help arrest the culprits those who were involved in the havoc and bring them to justice.

PM Sheikh Hasina made the call after visiting the damaged BTV building at Rampura in the capital on Friday (July 26).

Sheikh Hasina said those involved in such attacks are hiding in every nook and corner of the country. They must be found and punished. For this, the cooperation of the people of the country is needed.

'BNP-Jamaat carried out nationwide arson terrorism and vandalism in 2013 in which they set fire on 3,800 vehicles, 29 trains and eight launches and this time they launched a massive destruction across the country from July 17, 2024 morning by cashing in on the quota reform movement,' Prime Minister added.

'Today, Bangladesh goes one step ahead towards prosperity and achieved the status of a developing country. The rampage was carried out to undermine the achievement. They want to ruin everything,' Sheikh Hasina said.
