India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a phone conversation with the interim government's Chief Advisor Dr Muhammad Yunus. In the phone conversation, he assured Modi to provide security to Hindus.
Modi made a post on social media on Friday (August 16) about this.
According to NDTV, Dr Muhammad Yunus assured the Prime Minister of India of the full security of all minorities including Hindus in Bangladesh in the phone conversation.
In a post on social media, Modi wrote, 'I received a call from Professor Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh. The prevailing situation was discussed. Reiterated India's support for a democratic, stable, peaceful, and progressive Bangladesh. He assured me the protection and safety of all minority communities including Hindus in Bangladesh.
