Dhaka-Chattogram highway is now under water due to flood. As a result, the Dhaka-bound lane of the highway has created a terrible traffic jam in an area of ​​45 km. The traffic jam created last Thursday night (August 22).

It has been seen that the Chattogram-bound lane from Muhuriganj to Lalpol has sunk. Due to this, severe traffic jam has occurred in the Dhaka-bound lane. Thousands of cars are standing for hours. There is no end to the suffering of passengers and drivers. However, police station, traffic and highway police were not seen anywhere on the road.

Lorry driver Asif Hossain said, I left Chattogram port on Thursday night. Arrived at Sonapahar on Friday morning. I am standing on the street. There is no way to go.

Rafiqul Islam, a truck driver, said that he has been on the road for almost 20 hours, but he can't find any food shop open anywhere. Hunger kills.

A passenger named Russell Ahmed said, I was getting on the bus to go to Dhaka on Thursday morning. On Friday afternoon, I will come down to Thakurdighi area and come back to Chattogram city. Although I have to pay extra rent.

Zorarganj Highway Police in-charge Sohel Sarkar said that the police will not benefited from performing their duties on the road. Because the car cannot move due to water. When the water goes down, the traffic jam will be eased.
