The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh has lodged a strong protest against recent remarks made by India's Home Minister, Mr. Amit Shah, concerning Bangladeshi nationals during his visit to Jharkhand, India.

In a formal protest note delivered to the Deputy High Commissioner of India in Dhaka, the Ministry expressed serious concerns, conveying its deep sense of hurt and displeasure over the comments. Bangladesh urged the Indian government to advise its political leaders to refrain from making such objectionable and unacceptable statements.

The Ministry underscored that remarks from such high-ranking officials undermine the spirit of mutual respect and understanding between the two friendly nations.
