Yunus Meets With Chief Prosecutor of ICC
The Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh met with Karim AA Khan, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands. In the meeting, the ICC chief prosecutor and Muhammad Yunus also discussed ways and means to file a crimes against humanity case against the perpetrators of the July-August massacre.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) annual session in New York, USA. This information was revealed in a post on the Chief Advisor's verified Facebook page.
Discussions included the Rohingya genocide and ways and means to file a crimes against humanity case against the perpetrators of the July-August massacre, according to the chief adviser's office.
ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan praised the three points proposed by the Chief Adviser to deal with the Rohingya crisis.
Professor Yunus also met with Netherlands' prime minister Dick Schoof, seeking Dutch support for agricultural transformation, water management, tackling corruption and implementing reforms.
He also had a meeting with US Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin.
