Dengue Fever: 7 Die, Highest in a Single Day This Year

Bangladesh recorded seven deaths from dengue fever today, marking the highest number of fatalities from the viral infection in a single day so far this year.

Seven more people died in 24 hours from Friday morning to Saturday morning due to Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever. Alongside, 860 people were admitted to the hospital with dengue fever.

This information was reported in the press release of the Health and Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Saturday (September 28).

So far 150 people have died due to this mosquito-borne disease this year. Apart from this, a total of 28,565 people were infected with dengue from January 1 to September 28 this year.

Meanwhile, 621 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country in the last one day. This year, 25,241 people have received clearance.
