President to Exchange Greetings with Hindu Leaders for Durga Puja

In celebration of the Sharadiya Durga Utsav, President Md. Sahabuddin will exchange greetings with leaders of the country’s Hindu community at Bangabhaban today.

The President's Press Secretary, Md. Zainal Abedin, confirmed this information to the media on Saturday, October 12.

Zainal Abedin said, "The President, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Rebecca Sultana, will exchange greetings with Hindu community leaders at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban from 11 AM to 12 PM."

Leaders from the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust, Bangladesh Puja Celebration Council, and the Metropolitan Puja Celebration Committee will be present at the event.

Additionally, around 1,000 guests, including diplomats and senior journalists from the Hindu community, have been invited to attend.

Earlier, on October 8, the President conveyed his message on the occasion of Durga Puja, stating, "Durga Puja, the major religious festival of the Hindu community, is intertwined with the traditions and culture of Bengal. On the occasion of Sharadiya Durga Utsav, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all followers of the Hindu faith."
